22 The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.
Central Truth
Faithfulness is steady devotion directed toward God and others.
Hosea 2:1919 “I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and in justice,
In lovingkindness and in compassion,
Hosea 2:20And I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness. Then you will know the Lord.
We are called to be faithful to God and others.
- 2 Timothy 2:1ff. “…entrust to faithful men”
- “well done, my good and faithful servant”
Central Truth:
We can be faithful, not flawless and not fickle.
- Faithfulness cannot depend on feelings.
- Our faithfulness to others cannot depend on their faithfulness to us.
Faithfulness brings long-term blessings in spite of short-term burdens.
Application – 4 Areas to Exercise Faithfulness
- Be faithful to your family.
2. Be faithful to your church.
- Be faithful to your employer/employees.
- Be faithful to God.
