While the snow is melting quickly on Colorado’s highest peaks, snow still remains on Mt. Bierstadt's final 300-400 vertical feet. Without microspikes, the descent can be difficult if not treacherous. Therefore, I am cancelling the June 20th Family 14er [this Saturday].
Look for another announcement later this summer when I’m certain conditions will be safer and optimal for climbers of all ages.
